It's Friday! That means DFF @MerlottesBar. It's also #followfriday, which is where you post those you want others to follow with the reason why and the #followfriday hash tag. It's also almost a full moon! That's bad.... For two nights in a row @MerlottesBar has seen some dangerous times...

On Hump Day Wednesday a Maenad by the name of @MaryannForreste  came in and it was tense! She demanded tribute, and well let's just say if it wasn't for @JessicaHamby and @VictorMAdden, blood would have been shed! As it was the whole bar had to pretty much get drunk and screw (heh good ole Jimmy Buffet!), I left before the craziness started.

Last night was Old Skool @MerlottesBar, @SterlingDuMonde, an old, what? friend, nemesis, tacit ally?, anyways, @AmmerieRain's umm well, her "Director" I guess you'd call him, demanded to see me and @DmitriCain over the injuries @AmmerieRain sustained a few days back on a job he had assigned her. He was angry that "We" had let her get hurt. Of course that's such BS, @AmmerieRain can take care of herself, you don't protect her, you just sorta hang on for the wild ride! So, it took @DmetriCain, @AmmerieRain @KeelySanderson and myself to placate him and give HIM some food for thought about why L'il Rain was attacked. It got pretty tense!.

Which brings us to tonight... Here's hoping even with DFF, #followfriday, and an almost Full Moon its q.... err peaceful tonight.

Tomorrow though... Saturday night and a Full Moon, better bring the dragon blade and fighting clothes...

First, this is my definition and rules, yours may differ.

Second, why a Blip Duel? Well last night as I was preparing to head to @MerlottesBar for my gig, I noticed that @MerlottesBar, Sam and @TaraMaeThornton, Tara were having a bit of fun taking turns blippin Garth Brooks tunes. That was it, I immediately thought of Blip Duels. I mentioned to them I wouldn't mind at all if tonight, instead of Smooth Sunday, maybe they might want to have a friendly Blip Duel. They have some interest, though no idea what it would entail.

Third, the following is designed for ease, fun, and friendly competition. We don't keep score, and the"winner" is whom ever thinks they are, (makes for a fun argument amongst the competitors).

So here's how it could work, again, this is my approach, feel free to make up your own rules. Blip Duels pit DJ's head to head in a live set. One starts, by blipping a tune. The challenger then blips either another tune by that artist they think is better, or a cover of the tune blipped they think is better. The original blipper than has to either top that blip with a better tune by that artist, or by the artist that does the cover. And so it goes till one or the other runs out of tunes by that artist. As a wildcard, the challenger could go a whole different direction and blip a different artist with a new challenge to the original blipper to top it. Or the original blipper could do the same. Confused yet? Once you're in the midst of a Blip Duel it comes easily.

Finally, you must issue the challenge. ex. @Dj_Midori, I challenge you to a Blip Duel, are you DJ enough to accept? then Mai would respond @FranciscoIV, I accept your challenge and my blips will make your knees quake and your hands shake! Or some other ridiculous insult, which is optional. Then @Dj_Midori would make the first blip with the following text in the blip, @FranciscoIV #blipduel top this you salted guinea pig! [name of artist-song title] . Again the ridiculous insult is desired though optional.

First, I need the night off, my "other" business commitment has me doing a gig in SoBe. Fortunately @Stilettos69, Lexi, is gonna sub. Second, she's gonna focus on 70's music! Should be groovy... Be sure to turn out!

Last night was Smooth Sunday @MerlottesBar and boy did we need it!. I spent the weekend DJing at Fangtasia, Here's the link: Fangtasia . @MerlottesBar got busted up pretty good Friday night and alot of people got hurt. Sunday night was q... err Smooth... The music was good and I kinda got into two different grooves. I decided to wear my casual Miami attire. I played some Island themed songs, then for some reason I started on some real smooth country music. It just felt right for the moment.

Anyways, ya'll come out and support my bestest DJ @Stilettos69, Lexi, tonight!

Where do I begin? Ok first great thanks to @Pam_atFangtasia for
affording me the opportunity to DJ Friday and Saturday night. Many
thanks to @Dj_Midori for being so gracious and for having such a
snappin sound system.

 Huge thanks and affection to @kikkitigerwolf for being my personal
protector and wonderful companion for both evenings all the way to
closing. She is one snappy dresser in human form and might I say,
HOT!!! The fangbangers were way more interested in her than me!

 I only had to kick one fangbanger on friday night and none on Saturday
night. The vamps stayed away, I attribute that to @kikkitigerwolf's
aura. @Dj_Midori stopped by Saturday night, that was nice. The vampire
@SebastianWalker also came by, the ladies were all enthralled. He is
quite the gentleman and charmer.

 Both nights went exceptionally well. Still I'll be glad to get back to
the friendly confines of @MerlottesBar.

 Sunday is Smooth Sunday @MerlottesBar. After this wild weekend, we all
need a bit of relaxation...

That @Pam_atFangtasia is one smooth vampire. Before I knew what I was saying I was agreeing to do a guest DJ spot for @Dj_Midori the regular Fangtasia DJ. So here it is Friday nght and here I am. Thankfully @kikkitigerwolf is by my side, though in her human form it may be me having to keep everyone off her! Quite stunning!

the @Gutterbus gang are coming up for a few dances, that will be nice to see some familiar faces! Hope they don't scare the vamps too bad! I took everyone's advice and left the Dragon Blade home, just my Harley Boots to kick some fangbangers!

Tonight is Old Skool @MerlottesBar. Last night was Hump Day and it went pretty well. I was a bit out of it due to an allergy attack earlier in the day, but I muddled through and everyone seemed to enjoy the blips. @SookieBonTemps came in for a visit. It's great to have her back in town and hear tell she's gonna be working tonight!

It's confirmed, I'm DJing at Fangtasia tomorrow night. Unfortunately @Stilettos69 can't sub for me @MerlottesBar, so unless Sam pipes me in, the Ole Jukebox will have to do!

Last night was Doubleshot Tuesday @MerlottesBar and the crowd was pretty good. @TaraMaeThornton had to take a call about half way through and didn't come back, but Sam showed up and handled the rest of the evening. Sure hope Tara is ok.

Pam_atFangtasia gave me some props as she listened in from Fangtasia and asked if I would be interesting in guest DJing one night. How could I turn her down, after all her boss, @EricNorthman is @SookieBonTemps boyfriend, and well, Pam is pretty irresistable on her own. After checking my schedule, conferring with @Dj_Midori, (Fangtasia's regular DJ) and checking with Sam it looks like Friday Night is good all around. I need to see if @Stilettos69, Lexi, can sub for me that night @MerlottesBar. Hope she can, though that ole Jukebox could manage for a night if not.

Now everyone knows Fangtasia is the vampire tourist bar up in Shreveport right? Pam_atFangtasia promised to stand by the DJ Stand all night to provide protection, after all the crazy FangBangers are not known for their intelligence, don't want them mistaking me for a vamp and forcing their way into the booth.

Anyways, tonight is Hump Day @MerlottesBar and we hope to see you there. It's tax day too, let's see if we can work that in for a musical theme.

Ladies Night last night @MerlottesBar went pretty well! Started slow
but really picked up!

 Tonight is Doubleshot Tuesday, but I'm gonna be late. Spent most of
the day with The Opium. Grp at their HQ on Lincoln Rd by SoBe. That
little trip to DC proved fruitful, two clubs are good prospects for a
take over.

 At any rate, the blippin will start at 8pm CDT for Doubleshot Tuesday
@MerlottesBar, see ya there!
