Saturday night turned out to be a pretty darn good night @MerlottesBar! (what happened after closing is another story, see below) @SookieStackhouse wasn't there, Sam said she wasn't working that night, kinda strange, she's his best waitress and the best tips come on Saturday Night.  @TaraMaeThornton and @KitchenBitch were there and between them, Sam, Terry and Charlsie things were under control.  Some of the Ruston Boys came back, they are turning out to be ok after all. 

I blipped some good tunes and even enticed @JessicaHamby to come in for some pool table dancing! To my great surprise and delight @AmusingChaos appeared and proceeded to dance on the pool table with Jess. My my my such a sight in lil ole Bon Temps!! Mangos on South Beach couldn't hold a candle to those 2! They both danced till almost closing! @JessicaHamby left suddenly, mentioning something about a rukus at Compton House.

We closed the bar in good order and even the Ruston Boys were good about leaving. I was still pretty wired and since it seemed like there was still some "nightlife" @VampireBill's I headed over there. Just as I arrived (ok so I teleported in => TechnoMage), a wild scene was happening. @VampireBill had @BillohBill buried, @JessicaHamby was on top of @Konelli (our little Bunny), couldn't tell, maybe she was tickling her? Then in a flash a silver net was thrown over @JessicaHamby, which, as we all know, is extremely painful for a vampire! A bit of mayhem ensued and between @VampireBill, @AmusingChaos and @smeykunz, they managed to get it off. Poor Jess was a mess! @VampireBills hands were pretty torn up too and he was mad! Word of warning, steer clear of an angry vampire! I assisted Bill with determining who was responsible for throwing the net, (me =>TechnoMage), then I got myself out of there!!!

I was too wired to sleep so stupid me, I head to Pearl down on South Beach. I know the DJ there, and they are open till 5am so there were still a few hours before closing.  He said he was really bushed and asked if I'd sit in for the remainder of the evening and again, stupid me, I said yes. I did have a good time, but the Principals from the Opium Group were there. I didn't realize it till closing and they stopped me on the way out. They own The Opium Garden, Prive, and The Mansion in SoBe. Seems they were impressed with me and wanted me to spin for them. I told them I really had already played out my string in SoBe and wasn't interested, but they gave me a card and said to expect a call.  There's a reason I don't spin in SoBe. Sure hoping they don't call...

Oldsters will recognize that as a "borrowed" album title from Elton John (Don't Shoot Me I'm Only the Piano Player). We get it, same intent as don't kill the messenger. Well folks, this blog is just an attempt to chronicle my experience as I DJ (blip) @MerlottesBar most evenings. That means what happens outside of @MerlottesBar isn't reported, unless I am there (like this past Saturday Night, that will be in another post).  There are plenty of others in the twitterverse reporting and posting of the happenings in and around Bon Temps La. and where ever those involved go. Again, Don't Shoot the Piano Player, they are observing, if you get their opinions along the way well, that's fine, everyone is entitled to one, at least on the Internet and still in the U.S.A.

Weekends are big @MerlottesBar. Everybody is ready to kick back after a long week of work and I need to blip tunes they can relax to some and also get their toes tappin some. The whole crew needs to work to handle the thirsty and hungry patrons.  Having said that then what happens? @KitchenBitch calls in late, I ran late and @SookieBonTemps never showed at all! In Bon Temps when someone doesn't show up when and where they are supposed to, it's a serious matter!

@TaraMaeThornton and @MerlottesBar were txting Sookie multiple times, to no response, that was worrisome. As to the bar itsself, the night started pretty good, but by mid to late evening folks sort of ran out of steam! Honestly, so much has happened in Bon Temps over the last 2 weeks I think everyone was just plum wore out! I turned the blips to old standbys, some great old and new skool melodies... Never saw @VampireBill, @JessicaHamby or @smeykunz, heard they might have had other stuff to do, I'm sure @Jesiryu will blog about it so check with her there.

Sam actually closed the bar early, hope things pick up tonight, Saturday night @MerlottesBar are usually a great time! See you there!

It was old skool Thursday night @Merlottesbar. A decent crowd was in, the blips were flowing, and @SookieBonTemps was serving up drinks. @MerlottesBar was actually out of town having dinner with Ranger Jim in appreciation for all his help with rescuing @NicLizBT  last week. Seemed like it was gonna be a normal night. 

As always once @JessicaHamby awoke and started getting ready to come over to @MerlottesBar things got interesting... @TheMagister showed up @VampireBill's house to question Mr. Compton about the FOTS investigation. Jessice freaked and @HoytFortenberry had to hide her! I still shiver thinking about that Vamp!

Then the RustonBoy walked in to @MerlottesBar... About 22 or 23 of them... They wanted to rent out the whole place right then and there for a private party. @SookieBonTemps told them how expensive it would be, but they didn't care so we had to shoo out all the regulars so they could have the place to themselves. I blipped some tunes and all in all they were an ok bunch. 

Once it got close to closing time we all had to get them out of the bar, and it seemed we did. We were cleaning up when one of those Ruston Boys must have been in the bathroom, cause he grabbed Miss Sookies, derriere on his way out! @MerlottesBar got in to help finish closing and had a nice conversation with @TaraMaeThornton, something's developing there.

Wednesday is Hump Day @MerlottesBar. I had a "headache" (ok a hangover) so it was coffee and ice water for me. @SookieBonTemps @TaraMaeThornton and @KitchenBitch were all working. The bar was pretty crowded and the beverages were flowing. Tara got a weird call and freaked, her Momma was drinking again!

Tara was so upset Sookie and Lafayette wanted to take her out to get her mind off her Momma. Now I take a pause... As a TechnoMage I monitor the tweetstream and earlier that day there were some tweets between the three of them concerning a girls night out. So... I picked up pretty quickly, a plan had been hatched and executed.

They went to Hooligans, oh man hot bod male strippers, and of course @KitchenBitch new most of them!!! @TaraMaeThornton got drunk and started drunk txting!!! Good thing @SookieBonTemps was designated driver so they got back to @MerlottesBar in one piece!

Well, @SookieBonTemps got her wish for a Dance Party @MerlottesBar last night. @MerlottesBar (Sam) took the night off for the first time in a very long time. Like all things in Bon Temps, it was "interesting", fortunately no one got bitten, beaten, staked, stabbed, kidnapped, or glamoured (bbsskg), though a few of us certainly came close...

First my sincerest apologies for my behavior last night. I was in a festive mood, getting to blip dance tunes and all. I "over induldged" with the Grey Goose and Cranberry... Normally, that would have been fine, I'm told I'm a happy goofy drunk, (though getting that way is a very rare occurance). Last night it was almost deadly... It seems @TheMagister decided it was time to visit Bon Temps to question @VampireBill about the FOTS troubles... I had been doing the "Cheers" greetings to folkas as they entered the bar and by the time he entered I was already on my way so I was pretty flippant when he entered, then proceeded to make a snide remark on top of the remark @KitchenBitch made...

You must understand, @TheMagister is like the High Inquisitor and Judge for Vampires. @VampireBill has already had some very unpleasant dealings with him, suffice to say not someone to disrespect.  Fortunately @TaraMaeThornton snapped me back to sense before I ended up as @TheMagister's "beverage" for the evening.  Poor @JessicaHamby, who owes her existence as a Vampire to @TheMagister's punishment of @VampireBill was terrified and @HoytFortenberry whisked her out of the bar before she had to interact with him. After some very tense moments he finally left. Me, being loosened of normal inhibitions, blipped this upon his exit:

Monday night was Ladies Night @MerlottesBar.  @SookieBonTemps and @EricNorthman were away in New Orleans as Mr Northman had business there. Strangely, when Sookie isn't working, the bar isn't as busy... I was blippin the tunes and @Hathor321(Stephanie), came in to sub for Sookie. Poor Steph, she was so sick she could only last 15 minutes! Turns out, it was slow enough that it was ok.

A couple of my favorite Vampire friends came in, @AmusingChaos and @poeticimmortal. They are such a striking couple, it's nice when soulmates find each other...  I must say, we did see a side of @AmusingChaos I wasn't expecting, she does have a dark side, I knew I'd never want to be an enemy of @poeticimmirtal, now I'm adding @AmusingChaos to that list!

Since it was so slow I blipped out by about 11pm. I had to go back and recheck my tweetstream this morning to see the "interesting" thing that happened after I left.  Just before last call @MerlottesBar (Sam) asked @TaraMaeThornton (Tara) to dance. After thier dance they kissed! Right there on the dance floor! Phew! Tara then left and Sam walked her out and to her car, I "think" they might have kissed again, at least the tweetstream seems to say they did...

Since Sam is taking Tonight (Tuesday) off @SookieBonTemps has asked for some dancin music. Naturally I will oblige, so get ready tweeple, it's Dance Party Tuesday @MerlottesBar tonight! Sookie will be there, will you?

Sunday night is Smooth Sunday Music Night @MerlottesBar.  A relaxing easy going evening with good friends, good music (if I do say so myself), and good drinks. This Sunday we had all of that plus a little "extra".

@MerlottesBar (Sam) and @TaraMaeThornton (Tara) have been almost walking on egg shells the last week around each other, even with all the dramatic events in Bon Temps.  We all could see their "discomfort" last night, so I drafted @AmusingChaos to tend bar and shooed Sam and Tara off to his office so they could finally have their talk.

I can't report on the details (that's between them after all), but they did come out more relaxed and seem to have worked some stuff out (they talked ya'll get your minds out of the gutter!).

It's Monday Ladies Night @MerlottesBar tonight (until football season). See ya there!

Last night was a pretty good night! @MerlottesBar wasn't too crowded, (after Friday night I think some folks were just plain scared), and the Hot Shots boys had a pack meeting in the back. I had fun blippin music for them, they seemed to appreciate it and Sam seemed to like it too.

@SookieBonTemps was way too busy to tweet much with having to take care of the Hot Shots and @TaraMaeThornton was home resting after getting out of the Hospital earlier that day.  Seems like @EricNorthman has been called to New Orleans by @FelipedeCastro tonight for a meeting and @SookieBonTemps was asked to attend. Looks like they'll be gone for a few days.

@JStackhouseBT finally talked to @SookieBonTemps and tried to contact @HoytFortenberry. Sorry, I'm not buying his story. As a TechnoMage I monitor all twitter frequencies and there were some "questionable" tweets between him and an unknown someone. I'll be watching him very closely from now on.
